Elizabeth is originally from Johns Creek, Georgia. She attended Georgia College in Milledgeville, Georgia, where she received her B.S. is Psychology. After obtaining her undergraduate degree, she earned her Master’s in Community Counseling from the University of Georgia.

While at UGA, Elizabeth primarily worked for the Center for Counseling and Personal Evaluation where she gained extensive clinical experience working with a variety of clients – both UGA students, as well as members of the broader Athens community. While at the CCPE, she functioned as part of a clinical team of professionals made of counselors, pharmacists, and nurses. Elizabeth completed a clinical internship at Hope Haven, which is a facility for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Elizabeth has experience in working with clients with a wide variety of concerns including depression, self-esteem, transitions, relationship concerns, and anxiety.

Elizabeth primarily operates from a Person-centered, strength-based theoretical orientation, but she is also interested in mindfulness and expressive arts. She is very passionate about the power of the therapeutic relationship and believes in meeting clients exactly where they are.
